Earthjustice

Earthjustice is a non-profit public interest law organization dedicated to protecting the magnificent places, natural resources, and wildlife of this earth, and to defending the right of all people to a healthy environment.

Earthjustice is the premier nonprofit public interest environmental law organization. We wield the power of law and the strength of partnership to protect people’s health, to preserve magnificent places and wildlife, to advance clean energy, and to combat climate change.

Founded in 1971, Earthjustice has saved irreplaceable wildlands, cleaned up the air we breathe, and fueled the rise of 100% clean energy. We have protected countless species on the brink of extinction, and secured long-overdue, historic limits on our nation’s worst polluting industries.

We fight, using the power of the law to preserve, protect, and promote a healthier, more sustainable world for everyone. Through far-reaching, big-impact litigation, we ensure that those who jeopardize the health of the planet are held accountable to the law. We work tenaciously to preserve our natural heritage, safeguard our health, and promote a clean energy future.

At Earthjustice, we are driven by a passion for justice — for people and for the environment. As the premier nonprofit environmental law organization, we are uniquely qualified to deliver sweeping, on-the-ground results that make a real difference in our environment and our communities. We are here because the Earth needs a good lawyer.
