Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• 
  News & Editorial: Drafting clear, concise, and compelling articles for our news website. You will be responsible for translating complex events into digestible stories that maintain a professional and authoritative tone.
• Social Media Storytelling: Creating engaging copy for platforms including Instagram (carousels and reels), Twitter (X), and LinkedIn. This includes writing hooks, captions, and scripts for video content.
• Brand Voice Management: Ensuring a consistent "personality" across all platforms, whether reporting on policy changes or celebrating community milestones.
• Scriptwriting: Developing scripts for "Vox Pop" interviews, short-form documentaries, and social media news briefs.
• SEO Optimization: Integrating keywords naturally into web copy to drive organic traffic without sacrificing the quality of the prose.
• Collaboration: Working closely with the design and video teams to ensure the text complements the visual assets perfectly.
  
  

Requirements & Qualifications

• 
  Experience: 2+ years of experience in copywriting, digital journalism, or content marketing.
• Versatility: A proven ability to write in different "voices" from objective news reporting to conversational social media banter.
• Speed & Accuracy: Ability to produce high-quality copy under tight deadlines, especially for breaking news updates.
